About Dogado

dogado was founded in Dortmund, Germany in 2000, building cloud hosting for small and medium-sized businesses. Triton Partners invested in dogado in 2015 alongside its founders and management, and over the following years grew the business from roughly €2 million to €120 million in revenue through more than 30 bolt-on acquisitions -- including Metanet and Herold -- reaching over 380,000 customers across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Triton sold dogado in December 2022 to private equity firm Cinven and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, who merged it with the Danish host one.com in 2023 to form group.one, a pan-European hosting group spanning 20-plus local brands and roughly 2 million customers. dogado continues to sell its own Cloud Server VPS and Managed Dedicated Server lines as one of that group's brands.
