About Easyname

easyname was founded in Vienna in 2005 by Florian Schicker, who built the domain-registration and hosting business out of his company Nessus GmbH before it grew into an independent Austrian brand. It runs from its own ISO 27001-certified datacenters in Vienna and had grown into Austria's second-largest hosting provider by the time the German dogado group (now trading as group.one) acquired 100% of easyname GmbH in mid-2020; Schicker stayed on as co-owner and joined dogado's leadership team, and the Vienna operation kept its own local team and brand identity. easyname has since folded in customers from smaller Austrian acquisitions (Sprit.org in 2020, domainname.at and webspace.at in 2022) and sells domains, webhosting, website-builder tools and its Cloud Server VPS line squarely to the Austrian market.
