About hosttech
hosttech was founded in March 2004 by two teenagers, Manuel Kälin and Marius Meuwly, who started out with a few home computers and early domain and web hosting offers in Richterswil on Lake Zurich. The founding partnership was converted into hosttech GmbH in 2009 as the business grew into one of Switzerland's larger internet service providers. Kälin and Meuwly still run the company today as CTO and CEO, operating datacenters across Switzerland, Germany, and Austria for more than 60,000 customers and over 5,000 rented server systems.
