About Kamatera

Kamatera is the cloud brand of the OMC Group, a privately held company that its own about page says has "been providing cloud solutions since 1995"; the Kamatera-branded hosting product itself launched in 1996 and deployed its first hosted VPS in 2002. It was founded by brothers Yohay and Assaf Azulay -- Yohay still chairs it -- and runs as the legal entity Kamatera Inc from a New York City base, with the OMC Group's roots in Israel. Its build-your-own configurator (choose vCPU, RAM, and storage, across shared and dedicated core tiers) and its wider lineup of cloud servers, virtual dedicated servers, cloud desktops, and managed services run from 24 datacenters across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Kamatera also owns VPSServer.com, listed separately here, which it acquired in 2023 and runs as its own distinct storefront.
