About STRATO

STRATO was founded in Berlin in 1997 by Marc-Alexander Ulrich and Norbert Stangl and grew into one of Germany's largest webhosting providers. Deutsche Telekom acquired it in November 2009 to expand the hosting business of T-Online, then sold it to United Internet for roughly 600 million euros in December 2016. It now sits alongside IONOS, Fasthosts and Arsys as a United Internet hosting brand. STRATO operates mainly in Germany and the Netherlands and serves more than two million customer contracts.
