About Together AI

Together AI (incorporated as Together Computer, Inc.) was founded in 2022 by Vipul Ved Prakash, Ce Zhang, Chris Re, and Percy Liang -- with Tri Dao, its chief scientist, also credited as a founder -- to build a cloud for training and serving open-weight AI models. Vipul Ved Prakash, its CEO, previously founded Topsy, which Apple acquired in 2013. The platform sells on-demand and reserved NVIDIA GPU clusters (H100, H200, and Blackwell GB200), serverless inference APIs, and fine-tuning and training, marketing the ability to scale from a handful of GPUs to more than 100,000. It has raised rapidly -- a $20 million seed in 2023, a $102.5 million Series A led by Kleiner Perkins later that year, a $305 million Series B in early 2025 at a $3.3 billion valuation, and an $800 million Series C in mid-2026 at an $8.3 billion valuation.
